We were founded in 2021, pursuing the idea for a new product.

A phase of developing, testing, re-designing, more testing and producing prototypes followed.

The time of revelation of our product draws near... Watch out!



Our company was born from the partnership of two musicians who joined forces to realize a product idea.

Over the following years, HOP Audio GmbH developed a device for musicians for practicing their instrument or singing. This device now nearing completion and market launch.

2025-10-26: Just closed the deal with our investor Günther Hahn for the next steps towards product release. That had to be celebrated!

26.10.2025: Mit unserem Investor Günther Hahn wurde gerade der Deal für die nächsten wichtigen Schritte in Richtung Produktveröffentlichung fixiert. Das muss gefeiert werden!

Coming from different musical directions our founders have one special thing in common - we are all sound enthusiasts. We like it how things SOUND! Things must have a good sound. Sound is a very important ingredient when it comes to making music, feeling music, enjoying music. Practicing music in a joyful atmosphere was the base idea for our developments.





Musicians enjoy their music. Functionality is a good thing as long as it does not gain the upper hand and puts the music in the background. Music is life and must be lived, this is its essential nature. In our products we keep an eye on a smooth and intuitive workflow, a concentration on sound, the vibe and a joyful atmosphere to fully enjoy playing your instrument! 



Roland Hollik is the originator of the idea for the HOP device. He is a certified saxophonist who graduated at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts and has worked for many years as a concert and studio musician.
He also worked as a music teacher for many years and later managed two music schools in Styria – Mautern/Liesingtal and Kapfenberg. Roland Hollik has a large network in the music scene and has worked with many well-known artists, including , Joe Zawinul, Opus, Manuel Ortega, Paul Gulda, the ORF Big Band and many more.



Co-founder Thomas Kienast has a musical background in bands, as an electronic music producer, and as the owner of a record label. Trickdisc Recordings was the first Austrian Drum´n´Bass label, founded in 1998. Since 2008 the graduate software developer has operated a small recording studio for his own projects part-time and has worked as a mastering engineer for third-party productions. He is a sound enthusiast and analog fanatic. Sound plays a major role for him.
